I was born Marc Robert Appezzato on January 22, 1973 in the town of Rahway, New Jersey. I exceled in art at a very young age . I can remember as far back as kindergarten drawing complex objects with crayon. Even then I had a good sense of perspective. Having lost my way a bit in high school and early in college, I found myself searching for direction, both personally and professionally. A new artistic outlet presented itself to me while attending Kean College in New Jersey. That medium was photography. The roots of this great art form grabbed a hold of me and thankfully, never let go. After graduating college in 1997, I took a job offer from an embroidery company. Having been the first job in my field, I embraced yet another medium. It was definitely a learning experience not limited to the designs I was churning out on a daily basis. The three-and-a-half year period taught me the value of time management, good interpersonal skills, the strength of good art and artists, and above all, the power of the human spirit. I greatly exceled at my position, having won numerous awards in national competitions during my tenure there. I feel that I left my mark both on the company and on my fellow coworkers. One of the highlights during this exciting and tumultuos time was my patent approval. Patent number 6,059,071 was awarded to me on May 9, 2000. It still is one of my proudest achievements. Now, I enter a new era. The digital age has allowed me to explore another outlet: web design. This new medium has allowed me to bring my designs to people in a way I never could have imagined. It also encourages me to pursue many other fields of endeavor. Along with photography, I have an affinity for furniture design, interior design and writing.
